Nicholas Cordeiro, (b. 1997)

is an artist and published author from Western Massachusetts now living and working in New York City. Cordeiro studied Studio Art Illustration, Theology and Finance at Boston College (Grad. 2019).

Cordeiro seeks to evoke the haunting persistence of memory and the delicate balance between vulnerability and strength. His creations feel deeply personal and reflective, almost as if they are part of a larger story or series exploring complex emotions and experiences.

Using mostly oil and unconventional materials like coffee to create layered, textured surfaces that embody the tension between creation and destruction. These compositions reflect a deep engagement with the fragility of existence, transforming personal life experiences into a universal exploration of survival and self-reconciliation.

——Most recent works channel the early trauma of surviving a house fire at age 1, exploring themes of memory, identity, and the resilience of the human spirit.
