Nicholas Cordeiro (b. 1997) is an artist and published author from Western Massachusetts, now living and working in New York City. He studied Studio Art Illustration, Theology, and Finance at Boston College (2019). Cordeiro’s work examines memory, intimacy, and the human need for connection. His paintings often function as fragments of a larger narrative, shaped by personal relationships and emotional experience.

Working primarily in oil and incorporating unconventional materials such as coffee, Cordeiro builds layered surfaces through processes of accumulation and erasure. These material decisions reflect the vulnerability inherent in closeness, translating personal history into broader meditations on attachment, resilience, and care. While earlier works engaged themes of trauma and survival, his recent paintings turn toward love and connection as acts of repair; exploring intimacy, devotion, and shared presence as sustaining forces.
